The 10-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal Himalayas. Mt. Annapurna I (8091 meters) is the 10th highest mountain in the world. Annapurna Base Camp Trek: 10 Days Itinerary 2024/2025

 

 

10 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary; start from Nayapul, a city that is a 45-minute' drive by car or van from Pokhara. We will trek past the rice terrace field across the Modi Khola valley and the delightful villages of Birthanti, Ramghai, Hile, and Tikhedunga. We stay overnight at the Lodge on the day of our trek to Ghorepani. First, we cross the suspension bridge and ascend to the village of Ulleri, Banthanti, and reach Ghorepani. You can explore the villages and interact with the local people to get an insight into their life and cultural history. It is a moderate-difficulty trek, but; it will reward with wonderful views of the Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges, and Machhapuchhare.

 

The next day, early in the; morning, we hike to Poon Hill to watch the illustrious sunrise over the white snow-capped mountains. We spend a few hours taking pictures, and then after we return to Ghorepani. We trek to Tadapani, Chomrong, Dovan, M.B.C., and finally reach the Annapurna Base Camp. Where can be able to see the delightful sight of Himalayan glaciers and the mountain ranges of Annapurna I (8091metesr, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and Machhapuchhare, after then? we trek return to Sinuwa, Jhinu Danda?

 

Natural Hot Spring:

 

To get to Jhinu Danda Hot Springs. You walk through the rich woodlands enmeshed with greenery for 30 minutes and reach down to the natural spring called Jhinu Danda. It is considered as; a part of the best places to trekking to Annapurna journey. Based on the river banks of gorgeous Modi Khola and including the charming trees, you enjoy with natural hot spring, and the eyes will be mesmerized by the all-encompassing sights of the stream. Just close your eyes and feel the river filling your head.

 

After the day-long trip, your tired body will be comfortable in the major hot spring. You will observe the pools filled up with travelers. It is up to the time, in case it permits to begin from the Jhinu Danda Hot Springs and take a dip in the cold waterway running close to the Jhinu Danda. After dipping your body in the hot spring, head back for a delicious dinner and overnight at the teahouse. You will be refreshed and delighted to the point that you may; go back to Hot Springs in the early morning for a bath. A maximum of the trekkers come to this before returning; to Pokhara.

 

Trip starting Point: Kathmandu or Pokhara:

 

Option I: if you have more than 10 Days of Holiday in Nepal, you start this Trek from Kathmandu; you will take an early morning tourist Bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara and overnight at the Hotel. The Next day, morning you take breakfast. After that, drive to Nayapul by car or taxi, and start your trek.

 

Option II: if you have less than 10 days of Holidays in Nepal, you can start the trek from Pokhara. You will drive to Nayapul or Kimche by taxi or Bus.

 

Duration of trip: if you like to include Ghorepani Poon Hill with the Annapurna Base Camp trek, it takes 10 to 12 days. And if you want to just Annapurna Sanctuary trek, it takes 7 to 8 Days.

 

Is ABC Trek Safe to Travel?

 

In general, this trip is not dangerous. It is safe, and making you safe to trek is our top priority; duty. Along the trekking trails, you will be with an expertly trained guide. Who came from the same Himalayas region? Our guide will carry all essential safety; with a first aid kit box. In case; our customer gets any emergency problems of high altitude sickness or accident during the trek. Then we immediately send a rescue helicopter. Any part of the Nepal trekking will require good health and fitness, so make healthy; your body before traveling to Nepal.

 

How difficult is the Annapurna base camp trek?

 

Annapurna Base Camp is the preferred trekking destination in Nepal. It is a moderate trek. Most travelers/trekkers in good health and reasonable physical faintness will be able to complete this itinerary without concern, and no previous trekking experience is required. However, this trip does; reach elevations higher than 4,000 meters and it is most important to drink much water and get plenty of rest to let your body adjust naturally to the increased altitude. Our Local trekking guide will pick you up from your Hotel to the bus station for a scenic drive through the Prithivi highway from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It takes for 7/8 hours approximately for a tourist bus. Pokhara is one of the 2nd biggest cities in Nepal, and it is a beautiful and clean city. After enjoying our breakfast, an exhilarating trek to A.B.C journey begins a beautiful short, and sweet drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, which is the Main trekking starting and ending point Trek. Today our journey will be more exciting, we will cross the suspension bridge, and after that, we will be ascending to Ulleri village, Banthati, and passing through the beautiful Wide landscape, a lush green forest, where you can see some wild animals and so many different kinds of birds before you reach to the Ghorepani. Early morning, we will hike up to Poon Hill (3210meters/10,531feet). It takes around 45 minutes or 1 hour from Ghorepani. Poon Hill is one of the most famous in the Annapurna Himalayas region. From poon Hill, if the blue sky, you will be able to see the spectacular panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukche Peak, Nilgiri Himal, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare and Hiuchuli, and much more white snow-capped. The Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri Himal are Major mountains above eight thousand meters high, above sea level. After we enjoy the views, we trek back to the hotel, and we will have breakfast than after, we trek continue to ascend to Deaurali Trek down to Banthanti, cross the small bridge, and reach Tadapani Village overnight at Lodge.

From the Sinuwa Danda, the trail will be descending cross the suspension bridge and ascend the Chhumrung village. This village is one of the typical villages in the Annapurna region. Our trail leads again descending to reach Jhinu Danda. This village has Natural Hot Spring, after leaving our luggage in the room, we will go to take a bath in the Natural Hot Spring; we can relax there and back to the hotel overnight at Lodge.

Today is our last journey, the trail descends to cross the suspension bridge, and our trail goes along the Modi Khola Riverside, after the Siwai, the trail goes to still descending gradually through the passes beautiful villages and reach the Nayapul then we drive back to Pokhara overnight at Hotel.

What is the difficulty level of the 10 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

The difficulty level of ABC Trekking is a moderate and easy route. If you are physically & Fitness fine, and you can walk for about 6 to 7 hours per day at your; pace, then you can do it. The altitude is also less than 5000 m from sea level.

Is it possible to do this trek in winter?

Yes, it is possible; you can do this trek in the winter season. But, cold. The winter season is also the best time for this trek in the Annapurna region. Besides. The winter season; is tiny; people are along the trail more than in peak seasons. If; you want peace and less crowd. We highly recommend it in the winter season.

Is tipping mandatory for porters and guides?

When you have completed the trip. The Trekking members appreciate and expect the tips because the trekking crew is working a hard; job. However, tipping is; not fixed. It depends upon the trek days and services during the journey. You have to give a minimum of 15% of the total cost you paid to the travel company.

Yes, you can get Wi-Fi and a hot spring throughout the trip. However, you need to pay extra for internet services: Natural Hot Spring, you will get to Jhinu Danda, but you have to buy a ticket, and you go to take a bath and relax.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek best season:

The Annapurna Base Camp trek's best season is not all the year, the best season experience can be increased if you trek around during the best season of the year. We have described the all-time and character here. 

  • Autumn:

The months of September, October, November, and mid-December are the best season for trekking in the Annapurna region. The sky will be clear, you can observe the white snow-capped peaks, and a green environment in the countryside as well as you can see the local people are farming and ready to harvest the rice at this period. 

  • Spring:

March, April, and May are also well-known as the 2nd best season; for trekking in Nepal Himalayas regions. It offers the blooming Nepalese national flowers of rhododendrons forest and gets totally colorful. The sky will be also clear. So, this is another best season for Annapurna Base Camp.   

  • Summer/Monsoon:

This time trekkers come to visit Nepal because June, July, and August are rainy seasons. Which affects the trekking trails, leeches, floods, landslides, and clouds. It depends on weather conditions, but sometimes can be good weather and able to see the magical Himalayas range.

  • Winter:

December, January, and February are the coldest seasons, in this month the temperature is too cold, the weather is mostly cloudy and snow falls in this period. It means could not see the beautiful views of the mountains. The best season to discover the Nepal Himalayas, you can choose yourself.
