Detailed Itinerary of Gosaikunda Lake Trek – 5 Days

Day 01: Kathmandu – Dunche (1960metres/6,430feet)

Driving hours: 7/8 hrs approx

Region: Langtang Region

After an early morning breakfast, we will start our scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dunche by local bus sharing with other peoples. It takes around 7/8 hours; reach to Dunche Bazzr after then we will stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 02: Dunche – Sing Gompa (3330meters/10,925feet)

Trekking hours: 5/6 hrs approx

Region: Langtang Region

Today is our first day journey, for the trip route, we will cross the Gosaikunda valley Khola after then we will ascending to Dimsa and Deaurali, on the way where we chance to see the including; Monkeys, Read panda, Musk deer, and many different kinds of wilds birds, we will enjoy with nature jungle, wilds animals then we continue to reach Sing Gompa, we will stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 03: Sing Gompa – Gosaikunda (4380meters/14,370feet)

Trekking hours: 6/7 hrs approx

Region: Langtang Region

Today also we will be enjoy with landscape and beautiful views of mountains, we will climb up hill and walk on the pine forest, then we pass the Cholang pati, again we ascend to reach the lauribinayak, is one of the most beautiful place, where we can rejoice the delightful sunrise and sunset view from there, if the blue sky then we will be able to take a picture square of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Tibeatn Peak, Langtang II, and langtang Lirung and more mountins, after then we trek continue to uphill and reach to Gosaikunda Overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Gosaikunda – Sing Gompa(3330meters/10,925feet)

Trekking hours: 6/7 hrs approx

Region: Langtang Region

Early morning we will have breakfast, then after we trek descending to Lauribinayak La Pass, where from there, if the sky are blu then, we will able to see the delightful panorama views of Mt, Manaslu, Annapurna range, Ganesh Himal, Tibet Peak, Langtang II, Langtang Lirung and many more, after, then we trek downhill to Cholangpat and reach to Sing Gompa, we will stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Sing Gompa – Dunche Bazzar (1960metres/6,430feet)

Trekking hours: 4/5 hrs approx

Region: Langtang Region

After the our delicious breakfast, we will start our trek passing the Deaurali and Dimsa village and walking on the pine and rhododendron forest, where we can see the wild animals likes; Red Panda, White and Brown Monkey, Musk deer, and many different kinds of animals, we trek continue to downhill to reach the Dunche Bazzar, we will stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Dunche to Kathmandu by bus.

Driving hours: 7/8 hrs approx

BEST TIME TO DO GOSAIKUNDA LAKE TREK :

 March – April – May (Spring Season).

This is the best time to do Gosaikunda Lake Trek . The weather is very good through the trek. Spectacular views of the Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtnag II, Langtang Lirung, Surya Kunda Peak and many smaller white snow-capped mountains etc.

The temperatures will be increasing from the middle of March and with blue skies, white-snow capped will be seen at their occasion. So many Travelers often succeed their climber in this time. (September – October – November (Autumn Season):

Accommodations during the Gosaikunda Lake Trek:

 The accommodations during the trip, all accommodations are on the basic twin and sharing. Our local trekking guide team leader will be managing beautiful common room. If the possible he will try to manage the best room with attached bathrooms. About the attached bathrooms it’s very difficult to get in the Himalayas regions, most of the mountains area they have just common room and we must to share the toilet and bathroom with others clients. The single rooms are available in the lower altitude Himalayas regions. But it is not possible to get single room in the higher elevations; you must to share with others peoples. 

Meals:

As we as during the Gosaikunda Lake Trek, all kinds of meals will be provided in the Langtang region, you can take pleasure in Nepalese traditional foods likes: Nepali Dal Bhat and many typical foods are available on the this region. Also they have special menus; you can choose the many different kinds of European, Italian, Chinese and Indians foods are available on the during the journey.  

Breakfast:

You can choose by menu of your breakfast: options such as French toast with (jam, Honey and Butter), muesli, Oatmeal, Corn Flakes, cereal, hash browns, any style of eggs you would like, Gurung Bread, Tibetan Bread with (jam, honey and Pea abutter), pancake, puffy, and round and tsamapa porridge and chapatti with any kinds of Tea.

Lunch:

Lunch time; you will have the opportunity to specials delicious food likes: Thukpa, vegetable Noodle soup, Chicken Noodle soup, mushroom soup, fried veg. cheese potatoes, veg eggs fried noodles, eggs. Vegetables friend macaroni, Momo (dumplings), eggs. veg fried rice, Nepali Dal Bhat set (Dal Bhat power 24 hours) and many much more items.

Dinner:

 You can choose by menu: a menu that’s similar to the options you had at lunch break time: Stews, Pizza, Thukpa, Fried Noodles, Noodle soup, macaroni, fried potatoes, friend rice, momo (dumplings), spring role, Dal Bhat set, spaghetti and many much more items etc.

Safe Drinking water:

The Everest region you will get normal water from the Tap or river. This water you must to use purification medicine or filtering hand pump, also you get boiled and bottle of water are available at lodges. While you hiking in the mountains regions, you should drink normally 4 to 5 liters of per day.

Preventive measures:

• Do not drink alcoholic beverages in the high an elevation

• Keep yourself hydrated

• Do the Acclimatize low altitude to high altitude and back to sleep on the low altitude. 

• Do not achieve more than 500 meters in a day

• Do not walk very fast in the high altitude.

• Walk a slowly on the high elevations and keep walking.

• Do not walk alone on the way.

• Inform your guide as soon as if got any high altitude sickness. 

• Drink very much boiled water and hot tea.

• Take a garlic soup and Ginger tea, it is high altitude sickness medicine
