Changu Narayan Nagarkot 1 day Hiking Trip is one of the most popular day Trips around Bhaktapur valley. The temple of change Narayan is located atop a hill in Bhaktapur District. can include Bhaktapur on the way back to Kathmandu Nagarkot - 2100 meters from sea level is the most famous hill station in around Kathmandu valley of Nepal for views of the Mountains. Nagarkot is located 31 km East of Kathmandu city, just 1:30 hour of scenic drive away. The main Mountain peaks seen from Nagarkot are Ganesh Himal (7415m), Langtang, Shisha Pangma (8023m), Gang Chengpo (6390m), Dorje Lakpa (6995m), and Purbi Chyachu (6657m), Gauri Shankar and Mt. Everest in a far distance. The view of Sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot is simply delightful on a clear day!
 
After we enjoy the Sunrise with a panorama view from Nagarkot, then we will hike from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur District of Changu Narayan is beautiful. Changunarayan is the oldest Temple of Bhaktapur valley dated back to the 7th century and listed line the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The hike is mostly descending passes through the delightful typical local villages while we pass the Village of Telkot, we hike continue through the pine and rhododendron forests offer the majestic views of the mountains, hills, villages, temples, and Kathmandu valley.
 
The trail is wide and easy to walk on as long as one is geared with hiking shoes. In totality, the trip introduces Nepal's natural and cultural heritage. It is an ideal trip for those with limited time but who wish to get an experience of trekking in Nepal. The hike from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan and vice-versa lasts for approximately 4 to 5 hrs depending on one's pace and covers a distance of about 14 km.
