Trip Overview

Mera peak (6,476m/21,247ft) Climbing is well known as the highest trekking peak in the world. It is located at Hink valley in the northern part of Nepal Himalayas. Mera peak has 3 different parts of summits likes; Mera North (6,476m/ 21,247ft), Mera south (6,065m/ 19,898ft), and Mera central (6,461m/ 21,190ft). A Mera peak expedition is one of the most challenging trekking ever undertaken in the Nepal Himalayan region.

Mera Peak climbing Itineray commences from the Northern part of Kathmandu valley to Lukla with 30 minutes of scenic amazing mountain flight. After landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla, the trails trace the untouched and natural village of the Hinku valley region. There are 2 different trekker trails from Lukla to Mera Peak climbing, but in March towards Chuthanga which is fewer tourist paths on the Mera peak trail. The 17 days of Mera peak climbing passes through rivers and frozen streams, Zatrawala pass, dense pine, and Nepalese Rhododendrons trees forests; terraced green paddy fields, glaciers, and delightful traditional villages. At first, the trek descends through the villages likes: Chhuthang, Zatrawala pass, and Thuli Kharka then incline to ascend tracking Kothe, Thangnak, and Khare before reach at Mera Base camp (5310m), the final expedition from base camp to top is challenging and demanding due to strong winds, steep climb, and freezing temperature. The summit of the peak is a serene point from where we can perceive the scenic landscape and beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Cho – Oyu, Ama Dablam, and many more, etc.

Mera Peak mountaineering package is specially tailored by Himalayan Local Guide Pvt. Ltd as recommended by the experts. Climbing is completely challenging than trek; so we have added an abundance of acclimatization and a short day hike to avoid AMS or any risk. To make the trekking climbing moderate and comfortable, we have hired professional climbing local Sherpa guides who support and provide the proper guidance needed for expeditions. We have preferred safe and less crowded trekker’s trails and technically easier summit on the top and best season for climbing throughout the expedition we shelter at tea house up to Khare but at Mera peak Base camp and High camp we make camping (sleeping on the Tent and cooking our self.)
