Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Mardi Himal combine two stunning hikes in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. The trekking trails pass through several climate zones, unique villages, and landscapes while taking you to Annapurna Base Camp 4130 meters and Mardi Himal 4500 meters. Throughout your trip, you will observe diverse white snow-capped peaks, including Mount Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Fishtail.

 

Annapurna Base Camp Trek combined with the Mardi Himal begins with a scenic bus ride from the Capital city of Kathmandu to Pokhara, where we stay overnight. From Pokhara, we will drive you to Nayapul, from where the Annapurna region trekking trails begin. The first day of trekking is spent at Ghandruk Village, where you can enjoy views of the typical village, Gurung Museum, and Annapurna Himalayas ranges.

 

ABC and Mardi Himal trek continues. From Ghandruk Village, you will head to Chhumrung, Sinuwa, Bamboo, Himalaya, Deurali, M.B.C, and A.B.C while crossing from sub-tropical regions to reach the alpine region. On your fourth day, from M.B.C., you can do it to Annapurna Base Camp early in the morning to catch the loving morning magical coloring of the nearby white snow peaks.

 

After gaining the Annapurna Base Camp, you will descend to Sinuwa and Jhinu Danda. While you are at Jhinu Danda, you don’t miss the take a bath in the natural hot spring. From there, you will trek continue to Mardi Himal trek begins. The next morning, you will trek the left side to Landruk Village, a forest camp, where you will spend the night.

 

From Forest Camp, you will trek head to high camp. The vegetation starts to thin, and you might feel heaven as you pass through pine and rhododendron forests. After passing through the beautiful pine and rhododendron forests, you will reach the High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp, popular for its stunning Himalayas vistas.

 

On your tenth day of the Annapurna Base Camp & Mardi Hima trek, you will reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m). Before reaching the Mardi Himal Base camp, you will also pass the High camp and at M.B.C., you will discover yourself surrounded by breathtaking Himalayas peaks including the Annapurna ranges. After you enjoy the views, you will return to the High camp and stay overnight at the Lodge.

 

The next day, morning, you will leave the High camp and continue to Sidding village. You have to trek descending. From Sidding village, you will drive to Pokhara, which will take around 2/3 Hours by Bus or sharing jeep. You will have an extra one more night at Pokhara, where you can enjoy the second city of Nepal before returning to Kathmandu. Your Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal trek ends in Kathmandu.

After enjoying our breakfast, an exhilarating Climbing to Tent Peak journey begins a beautiful short and sweet drive from pokhara to Nayapul which is main  starting and ending point of the trek. From there, we trek towards Ghandruk Village by passing through the delightful farmlands, terrace fields and an amazing village of Birethanti, Syauli Bazzar, Kimche and reach to Ghandru Village. Today will be short and easy hike that provides a magnificent views of the Himalayas sceneries overnight at Lodge.

Both trek routes are located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The Annapurna Base camp is situated in the Northern part of Nepal. Mardi Himal lies south of the Annapurna range.

The treks typically take around 10 to 12 days, with acclimatization days included.

This trek is moderate and difficult but suitable for beginners as well as professional travelers. 

You will get the basic foods on a full-board, main course. This trip package includes 10 breakfasts, 10 lunches, and 9 dinners. These foods include hygienic meals, nutritious, typically consisting of Local and western dishes like Pizza, Mo: Mo, Chowmein, Thukpa, burgers, fried potatoes, dal bhat, rice, lentils soups, and several vegetable dishes.

You will get the Wi-Fi services at most tea Houses/Lodges, but the connection might be slow. Battery charging points are available, but you must pay an extra fee.

No, you must hire a guide for the Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp trek.

The permits are needed for the (ACAP) Annapurna Conservation Area Project and (TIMS) Trekkers Information Management System Card.

You can obtain the permits from (NTB) Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu or Pokhara. However, we will obtain these permits before you arrive in Kathmandu. But we need the Photocopy of the Passport and PP-size Photos as well.

Transportation services from Kathmandu - Pokhara - Nayapul - Siding

 

You will travel both ways by tourist bus from Kathmandu - Pokhara - Kathmandu and from Pokhara - Nayapul by taxi or car and Siding village - Pokhara by sharing jeep or Bus, Nayapul is the trekking starting and Sidding village is the ending point. 

 

Alternative transportation services from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Kathmandu

 

You can take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which takes around 30 minutes. It is a short and scenic flight from an aircraft, but the flight cost is an extra. You will enjoy the magical views of Kathmandu and Pokhara. If the weather is crystal clear, you can witness the breathtaking views of snow peaks from the flight.  

 

Lodge/Teahouse during the Annapurna Base Camp & Mardi Himal Trek

 

During the trekking, the accommodation on the trekking trails will get lodges/teahouses. The different lodges are typical and it is basic rooms with two beds, mattresses, bed covers, blankets, and pillows. However, if you are a single trekker then you must share a room with other travelers during the busy season. 

 

Foods items

 

Along the trekking routes, every lodge and guest house has a menu system. Our team will provide you with a menu. You can check and select food items like Nepali Dal Bhat. It comes with more rice, lentils, vegetables, Papads, Salad, and Pickles. This meal is served to you for dinner and lunch. It is high in protein and carbohydrates and brings you more energy for a trip. Also, you can get several food items like Spaghetti, MO: MO, fried Noodles, Pizza, Macaroni, Thukpa Soup, Chowmin, fried potatoes with cheese omelet, and veg egg fried rice. For breakfast, you can have toast with an omelet, pancakes, oat porridge, chapati with jam/honey, bread, and muesli. 

 

Safe Drinking Water

 

Along the trekking routes, you get a bottle of water, but it will be a bit expensive because they have to supply it from the city. We would like to recommend you use the normal water from the tap or river, but you should bring a filtering pump or use the purification table. 

 

Toilet & Shower Room

 

At the tea houses/guest houses, the toilet is not like the Western, you will get the basic toilet and you have to share it with other trekkers. Some of the tea houses have western toilets, which will be more comfortable for you during the trekking.

 

You will get a shower along the teahouses. They will offer you a hot shower with gas, solar power, or a bucket shower. However, a shower is not included in the package trip. It is an additional cost. They might charge around 300 to 500 NPR per person.

The Mardi Himal Trek with Annapurna Base Camp takes you through the several villages of Gurungs and Magars. Which is located at a high altitude between 830 to 4500 meters above sea level. Your final destination is to reach the Annapurna Base Camp (4130 meters) and Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500 meters).
