Our trek to Everest Base Camp, after landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport Lukla heading to phakding Village is going to be exhilarating as it will be our first day of the trek. After our beautiful and scenic 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, we will be start our journeys through passes the delightful villages of Chaurikharka and descent towards Ghat village then trek continue to reach the Phakding. Today will be 2nd acclimatization in Dingboche, after beautiful having breakfast, we will hike up to Nagarjung Hill, which is above the 5000meters.  The acclimatization is very important for the trekker’s also we are going to high an elevation.  We will be hike up at around 7, 00 meters and back down to sleep on the lower altitude it helps very much for travelers. If you do not acclimatization on the high elevation may be you will get high altitude sickness, that way it is most important.  From the top if the blue sky we will be able to see the delightful panoramic close-up view of the white snow-capped peaks of Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Island Peak to make the day attraction at it. Makalu are the one of the six the world’s highest mountains. After visit Nagarjung Hill we trek down to Dingboche overnight at Lodge.

Today will be more pleasure,  because we are very closes to our finally of your dream, we will begin our very early morning trek heading to EBC (Everest Base Camp 5364meters/17,598feet) we will be trekking through the lateral moraine of the khumbu Glacier. Wake up early morning, after then we hike to kalapathar for sunrise and mountains view. Today is our final day of trekking in the khumbu region; we will trek back down to Lukla.  We will trek return the same way which is we had use before going to trek, from this direction the views will be totally different before entered. We trek continue to downhill Jorsalle, Monju, Benkar, Tokto, Phakding, Ghat, Chaurikharka and reach to Lukla overnight at Lodge.

If the weather conditions are really good at Lukla and Kathmandu then, I am 100% sure we will fly back to Kathmandu. It takes around 35 minutes flight back to Kathmandu. FAQ's Before Travel

Do I need the Additional personal expenses?

This package trip covers most of the belongings during the trek but not all of them. You have to pay for accommodation and food in Kathmandu. There are all types of accommodation accessible based on what you can afford. Likewise, you will have the extra cost for sightseeing in Kathmandu valley, Visa fee, travel insurance, cold drinks, alcoholic, tea, coffee, Wi-Fi, Hot shower,  tips for staff, souvenirs, etc.

We recommend you bring the Dollar or Euro currencies and exchange them in Thamel, Kathmandu Nepal. Along the trek route, they accept NPR, also note: During the trekking trails, No ATM or Bank, You should take Nepali Rupees enough.

Is EBC and Gokyo Lake Trek Safety?

Himalayan Local Guide Pvt. Ltd 99% guarantees safe and secure as well as pleasant treks in Nepal. Our trekking packages have acclimatization days in Namche, Dingbuche, Gorakshe, and Gokyo Valley, acclimatization day is one of the most important to complete your dream goal. Our Guide and porter team will carry all necessary items for the trek, including the first aid kit box. However, Our Local Guides have general first-aid training. The guide will check your oxygen levels in high-elevation areas. In case, if you got the high altitude sickness, Our Guide will decide whether to continue the trek or return immediately.

In any emergency case, we will arrange a helicopter rescue to bring you back from a high elevation to Kathmandu Hospital. Moreover, we will trek as a group so that everybody is safe.

Who will come to pick up and Drop off at the Airport?

On the Arrival and departure day, our staff will come to pick up and drop off both services, arrival time, Our Guide or Porter will come to pick you up at the airport and will stand at the arrival gate with white paper on your Name; it will be easy to find out you, after transfer to at your Hotel.   

Do I get the electricity during the trek?

During the trek, some places have electricity, and you can charge your Camera battery and phone, but in most of the high-elevation areas, there is no electricity, but you have an alternative to charge your camera battery and phone with solar power. However, they will charge the extra cost.  

Useful Information

Meals & Accommodation:

The Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake include 16 Days of accommodation in the Everest region. You will get the best room in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche Bazaar. However, at the high places, you get the basic accommodation like a twin, sharing a room during the trek. They will not compare to Lukla and Namche. The Himalayan Local Guide team will arrange the best service for you during the trip.

Meals:

During the trek, you will get the high price of nutrients at high places every day. Your health is our main priority. So, we will try to get you your preferred meals and nutrients. There will be a menu and guide that will help you choose vegan choices and escape some inappropriate makings from the foods concerning your diet plan eating restrictions, and the meals you are allergic to. 

Entry permit for EBC Trek and Gokyo Lake:

  • Khumbu Pasang Lhamu community Fee: 20U$D (NPR: 2000 Per Head)
  • Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit cost: 30U$D (NPR: 3000 Per Head)

You do not worry about it. Himalayan Local Guide Pvt. Ltd will arrange the necessary permits for you. Only you can send me a photocopy of your passport before you land in Kathmandu. I will buy the Sagarmatha National Park permit at NTB (Nepal Tourism Board), and the Pasang Lhamu community fee and guide will be at Lukla.
